Czech Supermodel Karolína Isela Kurková will be bringing
Courtney A. Kreiger, better known as Cover Girl, to the big screen in
Paramount Pictures’ live action adaptation of the Hasbro toy line. It’s only fitting that Karolina Kurková, a Victoria’s Secret model, should play Cover Girl a fashion
model-turned-soldier. And even though she doesn’t have much experience
acting, something tells me this is one casting announcement that won’t
get much second-guessing from the G.I. Joe fans.

You’ve seen her face, but you might not know her name …yet. Eva Amurri’s career has taken off. With leading roles in high-profile flicks, the young Manhattanite is living her dream. We chatted with the rising star about her shopping, working, and filming with superstar Uma Thurman.
Tell me about your latest project? It’s called the Life Before Her Eyes, and it’s a sort of coming-of-age drama, centered around a school shooting with Evan Rachel Wood and Uma Thurman.
And who do you play? I play Maureen, who is the born-again Christina virgin best-friend counterpart to Diana, Evan Rachel Wood’s character who’s kind of more the exuberant bad girlfriend.
How’d you become involved with this film? I read the script and I really liked it – really related to it – it was really beautifully written and I auditioned for it and got the part.
Did you get to work with Uma Thurman at all? What was that like? I actually don’t work with her. She plays Evan Rachel Wood [as a] grown up so we didn’t have any scenes together.
What other movies do you have coming out? I have this coming out and I have The Education of Charlie Banks. And I have Animals. And Middle of Nowhere. And then I’m shooting right now a part on New York I Love You.
Is there an actor you’d really like to work with? Kate Winslet.
Is she your role model as far as your career is concerned? I don’t really know if I have an exact role model. There are a lot of people that I pick and choose things that I like about them – that I admire. There’s no one person that I look up to completely. Everybody has faults. There are a lot of people’s careers who I admire. I admire careers of people who have done a lot of different projects, experimented a lot, and took a lot of changes.
You’re career has really taken off … How do you find time to relax? It’s hard. I like to find time to go to the gym because that’s some nice alone time where I can put in my iPod and do my own thing. And it also really energizes me. So I like doing that. It’s nice in the city because there are a lot of nice places you can hide out. Sometimes when I really need time to myself I turn my phone off.
So you’re from Manhattan, right? What’s your favorite thing about NYC? Born and raised. I love that you can leave your house in the morning and create your day as you go along and have the most amazing day you could ever have imagined and you didn’t know it was going to happen when you left in the morning. You can do whatever you want.
What are your shopping tips? I don’t know. I would say if you’re in New York try to go shopping in the morning when it’s not really crowded because I feel like – for me – shopping goes out the window as soon as I get too many people in the store. I like really don’t want to be there. People are like grabbing on clothes to try on. It’s just a nightmare. What’s your favorite: Movie: Waiting for Guffman. Guilty Pleasure TV Show: Lost …Um, okay, fine. Rock of Love. Book: The Secret History. Indulgence: I love really nice scented body creams – I will spend a lot of money on a really nice body cream. Getaway Spot: Bali. I’m dying to go to India – I’ve never been.

However, in a statement they are quick to add that, “We support Eva
during this difficult time and respect her decision to seek
professional help.”
Mendes rep also confirmed yesterday that the Training Day star was
receiving treatment to “attend to some personal issues” which are “not
critical”, and called for her privacy to be respected.
